Playboy 1968 New car profiles....

"Playboy 1968 New

car profiles , Cougar

being the Classiest"

Cat's do have nine lives!

My "cat" is a 1968 Cougar XR7 - Grecian Gold, Cragar Wheels, Flowmaster's, Edelbrock carburetor....I could go on and on about her, she's a beauty and I will post pictures very soon!

Anyway, last August I was out for a cruise, it was the "Hot August Night's" car show weekend and my friend and I were having a great time...that is until I smelled something burning! I started to freak out and babied my Cougar all the way home...praying that she would make it! She didn't let me down...I literally pulled into the driveway and no sooner had I gotten her parked when she died.

My friend and I looked at each other and said "No Way!" ...we were blown away that the cat made it home and just died like that!

It turned out that the wiring rubbed against the radiator and burned up a good length of crucial wiring. So there she sat all winter...until last week when I was able to get the wiring fixed and then true to form, my faithful cat roared right back to life!

I was soooo happy to have the Cougar running again, I waited a total of about 20 minutes after the mechanic left the drive and I climbed into the drivers seat, rolled down the windows and headed to town to get the tags registered again...here's the part I shouldn't tell you...I drove it without a new oil change and it had sat for 11 months....I know, My Bad!

It was so worth it though! I love driving that Cougar! :)

1967 Pontiac GTO

This car was produced with the hope to gain appeal with the younger market of car buyer's in the 1960's.

Pontiac put a 6.3 litre V8 engine into the mid-sized Tempest shell, creating a cheap, fast car.

Pontiac's marketing team was very surprised when the GTO became massively popular...but just look at this fabulous car! What's not to love?!

In 1969 they fitted it with a 6.5 litre V8 which could kick out 366bhp... and "The Judge" was born!

Motorhead vs Motor Head

Ok...I do know that motor head can mean many different things. Let's get one thing straight right now, Motor Head Lady does not imply that I am a professional "motor head" giver :-) Those of you who know what I'm talking about should be clear on that subject, those of you who do not know what I am referring to, well it's just best that you don't know!

There is also the band Motörhead ...this isn't them either...although they do seriously ROCK!

Now, there are also people who think of a "motor head" as a "speed freak" and with regard to this blog and my personality, I suppose I fall into that category at times because I do like to drive fast, but I'm not a "speed freak" in terms of using the drug!

When I hear the term "motor head" I instantly think of someone who loves cars, loves driving them, loves looking at them, loves working on them...just freakin loves cars!

So now hopefully, you understand what type of "motor head" I am and I would love for you to bookmark this blog for future reading.
